“He is not here; He is risen…” Luke 24:6 // Christ’s Resurrection

For this week’s post I’d like to consider Christ’s resurrection, but in an unusual manner.  Last fall I posted two pieces exploring the resurrection from different angles.  I’m not being “lazy” but believe that the ideas and thoughts presented in these posts to be particularly important and topical for today.  So, I offer them to you again in the hope that they will add depth and meaning to your Easter observances.

Post 16 (09/28/2018) deals with those who were skeptical of the resurrection and how they reacted to the realization that the event had actually happened.  I think you’ll find its content as fresh today as it was then.

Also, I recommend that you review the Comments that Post received.  It was one of the most popular.

Post 17 (10/05/2018) deals with the Jewish Leadership’s pitiful response to Jesus’ resurrection and their attempt to couch the event as “fake news.”  This is one of my personal favorites.

To access the Posts, simply click on either of them where they are noted above, or go to www.exploringchristianityforall.com to look them up.  I hope you enjoy them.

God’s Blessings on You All.

A Prayer for Easter:

Our most gracious and loving Heavenly Father, we thank You today for the wonderful gift of Jesus Christ.  Your Son and His life are not just examples for us to follow.  But by His unconditional sacrifice, we are all redeemed for a new life with you, now and forever.

We understand that we didn’t and don’t deserve Jesus or what He did for us.  But we are immeasurably grateful for Him and His Gift.  We all aspire to honor Him and what He’s done.  And we thank You for sending Him to us.

On this most holy of days, we honor You with our praise and our unending thanks.

In Your Holy Name,

Amen
